Sizing Guide
-
Our collars are adjustable to a certain range. Please see each product description for ranges.
It is recommended that you choose a collar that fits in the middle of the measurements stated below so you have room to adjust for weight fluctuations or seasonal fur coat changes.
If you are between sizes, we will adjust the collar accordingly so there is always one hole smaller than the your dog's actual neck size when indicated in the order. This will bring the overall range slightly smaller as well. If this is a concern, let us know in the order comments.
-
Should you order widths that are outside of our recommended BioThane® width range above, we may not be able to exchange your collar. See returns & exchanges policy.
Measurement Guide
-
There are various ways to measure your dog’s collar size. To ensure proper fit, please follow one of the methods below:
-
Measure the dog’s neck circumference:
-
Step 1
Place a flexible cloth measuring tape snugly around your dog’s neck where the collar usually sits. Loosen the tape a little to add the appropriate amount for breathing room.
-
Step 2
Read the measurement off the tape.
Measuring an existing collar:
-
Lay the collar flat on a surface in its open position.
For clip collars, measure from the female end of the clip to the beginning of the male end / the end of the fabric.
-
For quick-release collars measure from the start of the material to the currently used hole / adjustment
Please make sure to measure carefully and double check your measurements. If the collar does not fit due to measurement error it may not be eligible for an exchange.
